How to Set Up Modifiers in Addmi

Modifiers are used to provide customizable options to Items when customers place an order. Build Modifier Sets, which are groupings of Modifier selections, and then assign them to Items. Modifiers can then be customized per individual Item.

There is great flexibility within the Modifier feature, and it was designed for efficiency. We recommend creating as few Modifier Sets as possible, and then use the customizations within each Item to dial in specific settings, such as additional pricing and availability.

Creating Modifier Sets

You can start making your modifiers before you create Categories and Items and return to assign them later.

To build a Modifier:

  • Select your Modifier name
    • Example: Ice Cream Flavors
  • Include each Modifier option
    •  Example: Raspberry, Lemon, Ginger, Melon, Pinnapple, Strawberry

  • Set the additional price for each option when applicable
  • Click the "Quantity" checkbox to allow customers to add multiples of the same Modifier option
  • Click the "Out of Stock" checkbox at any time when the option is not available
    • This will affect all instances of this option across all assigned Items
  • Delete by clicking the Trash Can icon

  • Change the order which Modifier Sets are displayed on your menu by dragging the 'holder' icon

  • After creating all of the modification options for the Modifier, select "Save and Assign Items"
  • Select the items that will feature this Modifier Set
  • Scroll to the bottom and select "SAVE"
