Disconnected Printer:

If you receive a notification on your point of sale that is reporting a “Print Error”, there are a few steps that can help resolve the issue.

Check your iPad network connection.

1) Access your point-of-sale settings by navigating to the top-left corner and clicking the drop-down tab. Then click on the “Settings” tab.

2) The first information to check is your devices connectivity. Once you have entered the settings, the first tab shown is “Connection”. You should confirm that your network connection is live and synced to your iPad device. If all statuses indicate a green check mark, move to the next step.

3) After verifying the device is connected to your network, navigate down the settings options to the “Printers” tab located in “Hardware”. You should be able to see your previous printer information with an indication whether the device is connected or offline. If no device is shown, please refer to “How to configure a printer” to reconnect your device.

4) If your device is shown but indicating that it is “disconnected”, your first step is to confirm that the device’s cables are correctly inserted and not damaged. A loose or damaged cable can cause the iPad and printer to have connection issues.

5) If your cables are correctly connected, the next step is to delete the printer from your Addmi POS App. Click on your printer. This should cause a pop-up to appear with the printer’s information and print settings. At the bottom left-hand corner is an option to "Delete" the device.

6) Once the printing device is deleted, there should only be the option to “Create Printer Configuration”. Next, go through the process of reconfiguring the printer to Addmi’s point-of-sale. For more information about connecting a printer, please refer to “How to configure a printer”. When completed, check your printer status to verify that it has reconnected.
