First, tap the three lines in the top left-hand side of the Addmi Point of Sale screen. 



Click the "Settings" option.



Select the "Square" option located in the menu on the left-hand side of the screen. 



Next, check your current device’s status and ensure that the device is charged. First, tap on "Reauthorize" displayed at the top of the screen. This will refresh the Square Access Token and reload the current Readers.

 If the device is charged but is disconnected, first tap the small button located on the back of the device. If there is no change, click the "Forget" button. This will forget your current square reader. 




Once the device is forgotten from the Addmi POS, we need to forget the Square Device from the iPad’s settings. Exit out of the Point of Sale by clicking on the round iPad “Home” button. Click on your iPad settings icon.



Select the Bluetooth option. 



You will now see your current Square Reader. Click on the i icon with the blue circle around it and select the phrase "Forget This Device".



Next, hold down the button on the back of the Square device until it blinks RED. This will reset the device to its factory settings. 

Go back into your Addmi Point of Sale app and click the "Pair New Reader" option and follow the steps provided to pair your new Square Reader. 

  1. Click “Pair New Reader”.
  2. Hold down the button on the back of the Square Device until it blinks yellow. Once it blinks yellow, release the button.
  3. The device should pair within a few seconds.
