Point of Sale
The Addmi point of sale system runs on iPad, and a minimum of 7th generation is required. It is a good rule of thumb to invest in the latest version Apple offers. Install the app from the App Store and make sure you set up your Addmi Point of Sale correctly, using this guide.
SERVICE AND FOCUS MODES
There are a variety of options that affect the way the point of sale interface functions.
Choose carefully the best mode for your workflow.
Service Modes
Service modes focus on transactions, and affect printing receipts, tipping, and captures.
Select the mode that best matches your workflow.
- Quick serve
Represents a quickest dining experience- Customer enters Tip on screen at the POS
- No credit card capture required
- Quick serve with Authorization
Represents a quick dining experience- Offers Pre-Authorization for the orders initial total
- Adjust the final tip amount
- Capture the orders final amount
- Full Service
Represents the full-service dining experience- Print out check and bring it to the customer
- Collect Credit Card
- Pre-authorization available
- Print receipt for customer to fill in tip, total, and signature
- Adjust final tip amount
- Capture final amount
Focus Modes
Focus Modes are used to adjust interface layouts to best suit your workflow. Change modes based on order types, such as quick purchases and open tabs. Mode selection also dictates your initial screen for your Store.
IMPORTANT: Each option includes specialized features, and will change the layout of the POS interface.
- Quick-serve:
- Easily allow for a quick new order to checkout process
- Can still change the transaction type and/or create a tab
- Bar:
- Easily allows for the start of a new tab or tables order
- Can quickly switch between tabs, tables, and store order screen
- Seating (Table Layout):
- Helps view the floor plan and current status of tables
- Can quickly switch between tabs, tables, and store order screen
- Seating (Grid)
- Helps view all open table orders
- Can quickly switch between tabs, tables, and store order screen
- Online Orders
- Shows latest online orders at the top and updates when a new one comes in
- Can quickly switch to the store order screen to begin entering a new order.

- Fulfillment Information
- Add customer information and select the order fulfilment method
- Change the orders fulfillment to: To go, pickup, or one of the tables that have been created
- Order Menu
- Change fulfilment method, Choose the assigned server, Set the order tab name, Split Checks feature, Print Checks, Apply Discounts

- Wi-Fi Connectivity Indicator
- Real time indication of the current network status and connection. This area will be filled in red when your WiFi is no longer allowing your iPad to connect to the internet. You need to be connected to sync to the server, which is crucial when accepting credit card payments, and to track inventory across multiple POS stations.

- Main Menu
- Get access to all POS options and settings
- Logged in employee PIN code
- Open item
- Allows users to enter an item name with a custom price for payment.
