With the release of Addmi's 1.4 software, the Addmi Display Screen (ADS), Point of Sale (POS), and Customer Facing Display (CFD) are all included in one app.

 


GENERAL FIXES

Generally, restarting the app will fix minor issues. 

To restart Addmi ADS: 

  1. Double click the Home button on iPad.
  2. Swipe the Addmi app up off screen to kill the app
  3. Reopen Addmi app (orange app icon)

Wi-Fi Disconnection (red bar across top of ADS screen) 

  1. TRY FIRST: click the cloud icon. It will turn Green when reconnected 
  2. TRY SECOND: kill the ADS app and relaunch


PRINTING

First recommendation: NEVER let your employees unplug your iPad power supply to use to charge their phone. This can cause the printer to lose connection and fail to print incoming orders, even AFTER it is plugged back in. If your printer is unplugged, always go back into your DS app settings and make sure the printer is connected and ready to perform. 


When printing fails, try these in this order:

  1. A bad cable is often the issue. Only use high quality cables for best results. Make sure that all cable connections are correctly inserted. You will want to unplug and re-pluggin the cable.
  2. Be sure printer is connected to the iPad, with USB or Wi-Fi in your app Settings.
  3. Go to Settings (white gear icon, bottom right) and scroll down to printer settings 
    1. Look for printing issue warnings, such as Out of Paper, and correct the printer 
    2. Look for Assistance buttons for SKIP, RETRY and try them
  4. Click 'Remove Printer' and then reconfigure a new printer. (Learn more about Printer Configuration)
  5. Kill the ADS app and relaunch


ORDERS

Be sure to always leave the ADS on the Fulfillments screen when idle

  • Click the color bar at the top of order tickets to open the Actions dialogue box. 
    • Send text confirmation when the order is ready for customer pick up
    • Click the orange button in the lower right comer of the ticket to send this text. 
  • Click 'Fulfill All' to clear the order and mark it as 'Complete'


FULFILLMENT SUPPORT

  • If you accidentally fulfilled an order, select Recall in the bottom right corner, scroll from left to right to find the ticket that was accidentally fulfilled and click the top tab and select Recall 
  • Select the Orders button to view past, fulfilled orders
  • To send a notification to the customer: 
    • Select the top tab on the ticket and click send notification
    • Tap the message icon on the bottom right of the ticket



Order Refunds or Turn Off Online Ordering Manually 

  • Log in to Addmi dashboard in web browser to disable online ordering
  • For refunds:
    • Use Addmi dashboard for online orders
    • Use the Addmi point of sale app for orders placed in-house
