Addmi Display System (DS)

The Addmi Display System is an app used to view and fulfill incoming online and on-site orders. Typically, the Addmi DS is used to receive orders in a kitchen, bar or for waitstaff, or at the front counter of a retail shop. Addmi DS is an app which is available for iOS and can be installed to an iPad.

Addmi DS can be coupled with a receipt printer to print order tickets along with the iPad screen order display.

Communication with Customers

You can send SMS / Text message to notify customers when their order has been received, and again when it is ready. This setting can be enabled in Addmi Dashboard > Store > Front of House in the Customer Experience section.


You can choose to require the phone number on all orders, or to leave it as optional.

Addmi DS Overview

When an order is placed using Addmi, a ticket will appear in DS app. This ticket will include an itemized list including any specific modifiers as well as customer-created notes. When the order is completed and fulfilled, it can be passed to another DS station (such as from Kitchen to Waitstaff) or can be marked as ‘Fulfilled’ and completed. A text message can then be sent to the customer to communicate that their order is ready. Orders can be voided, previous transactions can be reviewed, and tickets can be reprinted with DS. 


App features:

  • View incoming orders as order ’tickets’ 
  • See order destinations such as Pickup, Dine-in Table 4, Delivery, Shipping
  • Itemized orders with item modifiers and order notes
  • Order timer with color codes for visual cues on order age
  • Send SMS/text notification to customers when order is complete
  • Pass fulfilled orders to other DS stations such as Kitchen, Bar, Waitstaff
  • Recall fulfilled orders to re-fulfill
  • Easily scan to connect specific Star or Epson kitchen or receipt printers

To test Addmi DS, here is what we recommend:

  • On your iPad, install Addmi DS
  • Set your DS to be a Fulfillment Station to receive orders 
    • Set this on DS in Settings (Bottom-right of the screen - white text with the Gear icon)
    • For new accounts - Stations are created in dashboard under Store > Back of House > Items to Stations Assignment
  • Turn the volume up on the iPad (to hear the sound when orders come in)
  • Scan the QR code for your Addmi Store account or use the online store link and place an order
    • Use your phone number to receive the text confirmation 
  • Hear the 'ding' sound and see the ticket appear in the DS
  • Click an Item in the order ticket to fulfill a single Item or click the color bar at the top of the ticket:
    • To fulfill a single Item or the entire order 
    • To pass the order to other Stations if you have any set up (such as Waitstaff or Bar)
    • Send a text notification to the customer
    • To retrieve the customer's phone number in case you need to contact them directly 
  • For refunds, go to Transactions report in Dashboard and hit 'refund' on the order
