How to Set up Categories in Addmi

Categories are used to group similar types of Items for display on your Menu.

You can hide Categories from your online menu, which can be useful for Items you do not want to sell other than at your location. 


Building Categories:

You can start making your categories before you create Items and Modifiers, and return to assign them later. 

To build a Category:

  • Select your Category name 
  • Choosing different colors will differentiate the Categories on your Menu and ADS tickets


  • Once created, select "Assign Items" to the category and select the Items you want under the Category
  • You can assign Items to Categories within the Item settings



Sub-Categories:

You can further organize your categories utilizing Addmi's sub-categories. For categories that need additional designations, you can create sub-categories.


To build a sub-category:

  • Click on the blue pencil icon to begin editing a category.
  • At the bottom of the page, you have the option to create a sub-category under the parent category.
  • Once created, you can assign items to the sub-category.
